Step-by-step instructions
- Make sure no items are selected. You can do this by clicking outside the canvas or pressing the Esc key on your keyboard
- Click the ellipses button (three dots) in the top right corner of the canvas
- Select "Change Background Image"
- To upload your own image, click the upload cloud and select a photo from your device. Or choose an image from the image library at the bottom of the popup window
- Upon selecting a new image, click "Use This Image" to confirm, or click "Back" to try something different

- For best results, use a photo taken from the angle you want to design from. Photos taken straight-on work well for front yard designs, while angled shots can add depth to backyard layouts
- Your existing design elements will remain on the canvas when you change the background, so you may need to reposition them to fit the new image
