SimplyScapes for Education

SimplyScapes Education provides free professional-level access to qualifying educators and their students in green industry programs. Inspire the next generation of landscape professionals with industry-leading design tools at no cost to your institution.

Who qualifies?

SimplyScapes Education is available to verified educators teaching at K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools with green industry programs. Qualifying programs include horticulture, landscape design, landscaping, agriculture, environmental science, and related fields. This program is designed specifically for educational use—grounds and facilities departments cannot use Education workspaces for operational work.

What's included?

Education workspaces receive full SimplyScapes Pro access at no cost, including unlimited designs with unlimited elements, our complete plant library with 2,500+ plants and 9,000+ design elements, and all advanced tools like Visual Designer, Aerial Designer (Beta), custom images, and the clone tool. We don't limit the number of student seats, so you can add all active students in your program.

The Education workspace is designed as a shared, collaborative learning environment where educators and students can view each other's work. Currently, all workspace members have full access to all designs created within that workspace, which facilitates peer learning and design critiques. We're working on role-based access controls that will give educators more granular control over visibility and permissions in future releases.

How to apply

To apply for SimplyScapes Education, send an email to support@simplyscapes.com from your school email address. Include your name, role at the school, the name of your institution and department (if applicable), the classes that will use the software, and an approximate number of student licenses you'll need. Don't worry about being exact with the student count—we don't limit seats, so it's better to estimate generously.

After we review your application, we'll create a shared Education workspace for your school and add you as an administrator. As an admin, you'll be able to invite faculty colleagues and active students to the workspace. Students receive email invitations from you and gain immediate access to all Pro features once they accept.

Student access and renewals

Students receive six (6) months of access from the date they're added to the workspace. Administrators can renew student access as many times as needed until the student graduates, ensuring active learners maintain continuous access throughout their education. This structure keeps the program focused on current students while giving educators flexibility to manage their rosters.
