I can't log in

Get back into SimplyScapes fast. Fix sign-in problems when your passwordless login code never arrives, is wrong or expired, or Google sign-in fails.

SimplyScapes uses passwordless sign-in. When you enter your email, we send a 6-digit code to your inbox, and you type that code to get in. There's no password to remember. Most sign-in trouble comes down to the code, so let's walk through it.

The code didn't arrive

Give it a moment first. The email usually lands within a minute, but a busy inbox can slow it down.

  1. Check your spam or junk folder. Sign-in codes sometimes get filtered there.
  2. Search your inbox for SimplyScapes. That surfaces the code email even if it skipped your main view.
  3. Make sure you typed your email address correctly. A small typo sends the code to the wrong place. If you spot a mistake, select Use a different email and start over.
  4. Add noreply@simplyscapes.com to your contacts so future codes come straight through.
  5. If it's still not there, select Resend code to get a fresh one.

A few inboxes (some work or school accounts especially) hold outside email for review or block it entirely. If nothing arrives after a few minutes, try signing in with a personal email address instead, or use Google sign-in (see below).

"Please wait before requesting another code"

To keep your account safe, you can request up to 3 codes within a 15-minute window. If you hit that limit, you'll need to wait for the window to pass before we can send another one. Once it clears, select Resend code and you're good to go.

While you wait, check your spam folder and search your inbox for SimplyScapes. One of the earlier codes may already be sitting there, and any of them will work as long as it's the most recent one you were sent.

The code says it's wrong or expired

  • Each code is valid for 5 minutes. If you take longer than that, it stops working. Select Resend code to get a new one and enter it right away.
  • Only your most recent code works. If you tapped Resend, any earlier codes stop working. Use the newest email at the top of your inbox.
  • Enter the code exactly. It's 6 digits with no spaces or letters. Typing carefully (or copying and pasting) avoids a mismatch.
  • Too many wrong tries will retire that code for security. Just select Resend code and try again with the new one.

Use the same email your subscription is under

If you sign in with a different email than the one your plan is on, you'll land in an account that doesn't have your subscription, your saved designs, or your workspace. Everything will look empty or locked even though your paid account is fine.

Sign in with the exact email address you used when you subscribed. Not sure which one that is? Search your inboxes for SimplyScapes. We send a welcome email when an account is created and a receipt when a plan starts, so those emails point you to the right address. If you think you have two accounts by mistake, contact us and we'll help you sort out which one to keep.

Signing in with Google

If you chose Continue with Google when you first signed up, keep using that button. You won't get a 6-digit code, because Google handles the sign-in for you.

If Google sign-in isn't working:

  1. Make sure you're choosing the correct Google account in the pop-up. If you're signed in to more than one, pick the one tied to your SimplyScapes account.
  2. Allow pop-ups for simplyscapes.com. A blocked pop-up can stop the Google window from opening.
  3. Try again in a private or incognito window, which rules out an extension or a stale session.

You can use either method with the same email. If you started with Google and later enter that same address for an email code, you'll reach the same account.
