In the object library, search for or scroll through and find an object you'd like to use.

Click and drag the object onto your plan, or select the plus sign in the top right corner of the object thumbnail.

Adjust the object as needed (resize, flip, edit, duplicate, or rotate).

When you're finished making adjustments, click on any blank area of the canvas or press the esc button on your keyboard to deselect the object.
