Double click on an item and drag and drop it to your desired location.

When you're finished moving it to where you want it, click on any blank area of the canvas or press the esc button on your keyboard to deselect the item.

Alternatively, you can click and hold the move cursor (the four sided arrow that appears at the bottom of the selected item) to pull the item to the desired location.
