Click the plant icon on the right of your screen.

Find the plant you want to add.

Click the plant photo, the plus sign, or just drag and drop it to the design. 

Resize, flip, move, edit, duplicate, or delete the plant.

When you're finished making adjustments, click on any blank area of the canvas or press the esc button on your keyboard to deselect the plant.
