What is a workspace in SimplyScapes?

A workspace is your hub for organizing landscape designs, team members, and settings. Learn what workspaces hold and how Personal and Professional types differ.

A workspace is your dedicated area within SimplyScapes where you create, organize, and manage all your landscape designs. Think of it as your personal or professional hub for all your SimplyScapes activities.

Two types of workspaces:

Personal Workspaces (Homeowner)

Designed for individuals working on their own property projects. These workspaces are named "Personal Workspace" by default and can be renamed to anything you'd like. A Personal workspace is meant for one person, so it doesn't include team members.

Professional Workspaces

Designed to represent a company or organization. Professional workspaces let you link your business profile and unlock additional features like Takeoffs (Beta).

A Professional workspace can also have more than one member. The person who creates the workspace is its owner, and admins can bring in teammates and give each of them a role that controls what they can do. To learn how this works, see Manage team members.

What workspaces include:

  • All your Visual Designs
  • Your Takeoffs (for Professional workspaces only)
  • Custom images you've uploaded
  • Workspace-specific settings and preferences
  • Team members and their roles (for Professional workspaces)

Each workspace keeps its own designs, settings, and billing, so nothing you do in one workspace affects another.
