Finding a client's designs

See every landscape design tied to a client from their record or the Client column in your designs table, and link new designs as you create them.

Clients are available on Professional workspaces only.

When you work with clients, it helps to know at a glance which designs belong to whom. On a Professional workspace, SimplyScapes keeps that connection visible in two places.

See all designs for one client

The quickest way to see a client's designs is from their own record.

  1. Open the client from your Clients list.
  2. Scroll to the Designs section on their record.
  3. You'll see every design tied to that client, with its name, its design area, and when it was created.
  4. Click a design name to open it.

If a client doesn't have any designs yet, this section shows that none are available. You can start a new design for the client using the add button on the Designs section.

The Client column in the designs table

Your main Designs page also shows which client each design belongs to. In the table view, there's a Client column that lists the client's name next to each design. Click the client name in that column to jump straight to that client's record.

The Client column appears in the table view of the Designs page. If you don't see it, switch from the grid view to the table view using the view toggle at the top of the page.

Filtering by client

To focus on a single client's work, the simplest path is to open that client's record and use the Designs section there, which shows only that client's designs.

You can also sort the Designs table by the Client column to group a client's designs together. Click the Client column header to sort. There isn't a separate "filter by client" control on the designs table, so sorting the Client column or opening the client's record are the two ways to gather one client's designs.

How a design gets linked to a client

Designs are linked to a client when you create them. In the new design wizard:

  1. Choose a client from the Client dropdown. To set up someone new, choose New client to jump to the new client page, then start your design.
  2. Pick the property you're designing from that client's existing properties, or add a new one. New properties are saved to the client automatically.

From then on, the design shows up under that client, and the Client column on your Designs table shows who each design is for. If the Client column is empty for a design, it wasn't linked to a client when it was created.
