Why Upgrade to a Premium Design?

With each premium design, instantly access our entire plant library, add unlimited design elements, export your design to share with others, and maintain lifelong access to your design. The export feature allows you to save it as a pdf, text it to others, or print your design. The plant list is also a very helpful feature for upgraded accounts.

Additionally, our company is self-funded and relies on the support of users like you to stay up and running. We are thankful for your support in our mission to provide an affordable and easy-to-use online solution for landscape design.

How do I upgrade a free design?

Upgrade a free design to a premium design by either purchasing an individual design or if you want to create multiple designs, choose our monthly or annual subscription.

What can I do with a free design?

Free designs have limited access to features, including materials, plants, and other objects. Free designs are limited to 5 design elements. For example, a free Visual Design can have two material areas and three plants, or a similar combination. Upgrading to a premium design removes this restriction and gives full access to the plant library.

Why is there a Delete Design option?

When designing, it is often optimal to create copies of the picture you uploaded. This saves time and it gives you the ability to make several designs so you can try out different plant and material options and see what you like best. However, at times, you make a design that you don't like, so the Delete Design option is available by clicking the 3 dots in the right corner. Be careful when using this option, especially if you purchased the $10 design option because if you delete your design, you will lose your credit. Our team can help you restore it, but it will take time to restore and you will lose valuable design time. For our active subscription holders, this won't be an issue because you can create an unlimited number of designs.

Can I cancel a subscription?

Yes, you can cancel a subscription at any time. Do this by navigating to "Account Settings" > "Plans & Billing" and then clicking the "Billing Portal" button. From the Billing Portal page, click the "Cancel Subscription" button. This will cancel your subscription renewal. You will be able to use premium features for the duration of the period of time you purchased. For monthly, 30 days from your purchase date, and for annual subscriptions, your account will be active 365 from your purchase date. For example, if you purchase a monthly subscription on Sept 1st, and then cancel on Sept 20th, your subscription will be canceled on Sept 30th and you will no longer have premium access to your designs.

Will my subscription automatically renew?

Yes, if you don't cancel your subscription, your subscription will automatically renew with the plan you purchased, monthly or annually.

Is Simplyscapes intended for homeowners or professionals?

Both. Simplyscapes bridges the gap between homeowners and landscaping professionals. We make it easy for novice homeowners to create a design and visualize their dream landscapes. For professionals, our online service makes it possible to collaborate with clients in new ways. In some cases, homeowners will start the design process independently, then turn it over to a seasoned professional.

What's the difference between a Visual Design vs an Aerial Design?

The Visual Design tool makes creating a photo-realistic design in minutes easy. This is the best way to visualize a design area and see into the future. Start by uploading or choosing an existing photo. Fill in areas with mulch, turf, and other landscaping materials. Add plants and other landscaping objects and size them to scale. Swap plant images based on maturity and seasonality.

The Aerial Design tool (BETA) is ideal for creating a master plan, measuring spaces, and creating a takeoff list. Start by entering the property address. This will give you a satellite view of the property. Optionally, upload an existing site map and use it as a backdrop. Use the drawing tools to trace the property boundary and divide the yard into outdoor spaces. Drag-and-drop plants from the plant library and space them based on their mature size.

How do I share my design with others?

Share a design with others by copying the web URL of the design and sending it to others. Anyone with the URL can view the design. Only you can make edits. For aerial designs, only you can view the property address and aerial imagery. You can also share your design by downloading it and printing or sharing that downloaded file.

I can't find a plant or material in the asset library. What are my options?

We're regularly adding plants and other items to the asset library. If you're unable to find an exact item in the Visual Designer, you can upload an image to your personal library and use that in the current or future designs. Add a custom image by following the steps below:
