The Build tab

Plan and track the work to get a landscape project installed, with tasks organised on a board by status.

Coming soon

Jobs is rolling out gradually and isn't switched on for every account yet. It's enabled workspace by workspace during the rollout, so you may not see Jobs in your left navigation — that's expected, and nothing is wrong with your workspace.

Want early access, or have thoughts on what you read here? Get in touch. We're actively looking for feedback from landscape pros while we build this, and it genuinely shapes what ships.

The Build tab is the work itself — everything that has to happen to get the project installed.

Tasks on a board

Work is broken into tasks, laid out on a board in columns by status. Moving a task from one column to the next is how progress gets recorded.

Click a task to open it. From there you can change its status, add detail, and discuss it — see Comments and activity.

Organising the board

You can change how the board is grouped so it answers the question you're actually asking — what stage is everything at, or who's doing what.

Task statuses

Like job statuses, task statuses come pre-set and can be renamed to match how your crews talk about work. See Job statuses for how the same idea works at the job level.

Tips

  • Break work down to the level you'd actually assign it. "Install irrigation" is a task; "do the garden" isn't
  • The board is a planning tool as much as a tracking one — laying the work out often surfaces the thing everyone forgot to order
