The Estimate tab

The Estimate tab is where pricing a landscape project will live. It's in active development — here's what it's for and how to get early access.

Coming soon

Jobs is rolling out gradually and isn't switched on for every account yet. It's enabled workspace by workspace during the rollout, so you may not see Jobs in your left navigation — that's expected, and nothing is wrong with your workspace.

Want early access, or have thoughts on what you read here? Get in touch. We're actively looking for feedback from landscape pros while we build this, and it genuinely shapes what ships.

The Estimate tab is where pricing a job will live — turning the design and the measurements into a number you can put in front of a client.

Where it stands

This one is still being actively built, and it's changing week to week. We're deliberately not documenting the details yet, because anything written down now would likely be wrong by the time you read it.

What we can say is the shape of it: an estimate should draw on what's already in the job — the areas measured in the site plan, the plants on the plant list — rather than making you retype all of it into a separate tool.

Why we're being vague

We'd rather tell you honestly that this is in progress than publish a guide to something that shifts under you. When it settles, this article gets replaced with a proper walkthrough.

We'd like your input on this one

Estimating is the part of the job that varies most between businesses — how you price, what you mark up, what you show the client and what you keep back. That variation is exactly why we don't want to guess.

If you'd like to help shape it, or want early access when it opens up, get in touch. Tell us how you price work today, including the parts that annoy you. That's the most useful thing you can send us.
